How to determine your own destiny
This is the second Anthony Robbins event that I have participated in.
Before I attended the Tony Robbins "Date With Destiny in April 2005, my destiny seemed to be determined by the events that occurred and the actions of the people in my life and less by what I was committed to.
I attended Date With Destiny to get the skills to be able to know what actions to take. It seemed to me that much of what I was doing in my life was taking me further away from the outcomes that I desired. I was feeling frustrated and confused. I was certainly putting in a lot of effort in my life, yet was not seeing any where as much progress as I expected.
At the event, I learned a way to examine my own values. I also looked at the rules that I lived by. I began to see how my values and rules were not aligned with the outcome that I intended to achieve.
Unlike most of the books that I have read and courses that I have done, Date With Destiny was much more than just an intellectual exercise. It was more like an experience of getting to know myself at the deepest levels of my soul.
I am amazed at my experience of life since the event.
Is it possible for my life to continue to be so awesome and great?
Having spoken with many people after the event, I have met a few who are able to confirm from their own personal experience that yes it is possible for as long as they have experienced. There are still challenging times. The challenges are bigger and more worthwhile.
Since the event, I have been experiencing life as absolutely amazing. I have been more dissatisfied with doing tasks that I am not really committed to doing - tasks that I am in the habit of doing just to get approval, to receive love or make money. I am passionately engaging in activities that contribute to myself and others. Not as much as I want to yet. Just a lot more than before.
I am also excited at having a growing number of friends. So many of the people around me have now become really amazing!
