Before the one day seminar, I knew very little about the internet. I had sometimes used it for finding information at times, but had never considered it for telling the world some of what I want to say.

During the seminar, Corey Rudl explained many aspects of internet marketing.

Several times he said "get yourself a website".

I purchased his "Insider Secrets to Marketing on the Internet" and read both volumes from cover to cover. I found that I did not have a product that I wanted to market on the internet, though I clearly saw what to do. What I wanted to do is to share about some of my experiences of people and organizations that have inspired me or made a difference to me in my life.

So I "got my own website". I registered my own domain name. I put up some pages, and got it listed free on some search engines - Google, Yahoo, AltaVista, MSN etc.

I understood how to read the stats, and watched with interest the pages that were visited most.

More recently, I started to earn some passive income from my website. I shared about the difference that Tom Venuto made to my health and fitness with his e-book. Some people who looked at that web page on my website purchased Tom's book. I earned commission from the sales that resulted. Not only am I glad that these people have the possibility of a breakthrough in their health and fitness. I am also financially rewarded.
