Rudolf Steiner Schools
In searching for quality education for my daughter, my partner and I visited the Melbourne Rudolf Steiner School, in Wonga Road,Warrenwood,Victoria, Australia.
I instantly loved the look and the feel of the natural surroundings, the genuine manner of the teachers, and the way the students in the high school appeared to show an inner strength.
My daughter attended that school about 1994 - 1996 and she seemed to blossom in that environment. However I lost my job, and regretfully she did not continue there.
I was very uncomfortable having my daughter at a state high school where the probable future for many students included drugs, and possible compromising themselves for the approval of their peers. I was so relieved to have my daughter out of the high school and back in to a school which appears to genuinely provide a future for her.
I eventually got another job, in Melbourne, and she attended the Sophia Mundi Rudolf Steiner School in Nicholson Street, Abbotsford, Victoria, Australia through to the end of year 12.
Simone's friends who attended other schools found it hard to understand why Simons was so willing to attend her school, when they would much prefer to avoid attending school themselves.
I was so amazed to see Simone's musical performances and her presentation of her year 12 project at the end of her final year at the school.
I recommend a visit to a Steiner School, especially a school fair or an open day to see for yourself what this education is all about. I always feel so moved to see the displays at the Steiner school fairs and open days.
